Marlon Bundo's A Day in the Life of the Vice President~~Children's Book Recommendation

I found this precious children's book (Marlon Bundo's A Day in the Life of the Vice President) in a bookstore last week. If you know me well at all, you know that I rarely ever buy new books . . . I am a thrift store loyalist ;-) and so one knows that this book must have been special for me to purchase it new. :-)

Written by Mike Pence's daughter Charlotte and illustrated by his wife Karen, this book was a sweet look into the life of the Pence's pet rabbit, Marlon Bundo.

It chronicles his ride to the White House and follows him around for the day, providing facts about the White House as well as detailing Marlon Bundo's activities and the Vice President's.

The text is easy to read and engaging.

The pictures that accompany the text are bright, vibrant, and engaging for children (as well as adults! :-)).

I have been so encouraged by Mike Pence's faithful stand on moral issues as well as his uncompromising witness. We need more men like him serving in the political sphere and making an eternal impact in a secular environment.

My favorite part of the book came near the end where Mike Pence is reading his Bible before the closing of the day and holding his sweet bunny while he reads.

This is a wonderful book to add to your personal library; we enjoyed it immensely!

  1. This sounds like a cute book! You hear so much about what a President does, but not so much about a Vice President.

  2. Looks like such a great book. I had no idea his daughter was a writer and his wife an illustrator. Marlon, seems like quite the pet. Thanks for sharing this book review.

  3. Thanks for linking up at Booknificent Thursday on this week!
