Thank you so much for sharing a little of your own testimony with me and for the verses in Romans. What a beautiful and matchless God we serve! The Lord bless you, Mary. <3 Rebekah Nealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06486092247540955608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8179136029692209759.post-60543139502323033272018-02-18T23:06:50.040-05:002018-02-18T23:06:50.040-05:00I came to your blog tonight from the Grace and Tru...I came to your blog tonight from the Grace and Truth link up. I think I've been here before, but it has been awhile and I don't remember actually reading this account. What a beautiful testimony to God's abundant provision when we are willing to sit still and wait upon Him, even for long standing prayer requests! It really moved me. And, I am thinking of using it as an illustration for an article on prayer that I've been thinking about. (What a blessing He led me here tonight!)

In a different way I understand the deep trial of waiting for a long standing request to be answered. I even know what it is to give up and stop asking, and then find out God is still going to answer it after all. I was 38 when my husband and I got married. Yes, it was a long wait. :-) But, the Lord was preparing us both in ways that we needed in order to fit well together, and I have been blessed abundantly with a husband who can deal with my needs and struggles in ways that many men could not. God knew exactly what I needed, even when I did not; and He knew when I needed it in His time schedule. I know you will testify of the same thing in your own life, as you have here.

Romans 11:33-36 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.Mary E. I was reading something today that Chambers wrote about how "God's silences are His answers." --that God gives us silence so that we develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him before He answers. He knows and He loves, and I think many times makes us wait so that He can display His glory and love (as in when He raised Lazarus after waiting until after he had died).

I'm glad that you visited; God bless you, Jen!
